Hotels in Corbett
BY:Mayank Mittal | Category:Travel | Submitted: 2010-10-02 10:51:19

I am writing about hotels in corbett and resorts in corbett. Every day or second we have a new resort in corbett and hotel in corbett as jim corbett national park is a hot destination. Just 280 kms from Delhi. Also world famous for tigers and wide variety of animals and birds. Jim Corbett Park is very big national parks with various gates for entry. Most gates are closed during monsoon.

Jim Corbett National Park - Wildlife park located in Uttarakhand state of India is now a very well known National Park. It is one of the project tigers in India. Just 280 kms from Delhi by road Jim Corbett Park is good option to spend 3 days holiday. With increasing number of resort in corbett and hotels in Corbett its very easy to book hotel in corbett at the cheap rates as competition is on peak in Jim Corbett Park. As per current census there are 168 Tigers approximately in Jim Corbett Park. Jim Corbett is more like 12 months destination but still Monsoon season is not recommended as the rivers are on high and very dangerous also during monsoon entrance gates are also closed only Jhirna Entrance gate is open depending on climate conditions. All the gates are good with good options of watching wildlife. Gates like Bijrani and Dhangari are very famous. Dhangri gate is the entrance for Dhikala where there is a government rest house the usual timing for this gate is 15 Nov till 15 June of the year.

Apart from forest rest house in Jim Corbett National Park there are good options for stay in private resort and hotels in Luxury segment you can stay in Infinity Resorts, Corbett Hideaway, Tarika in Deluxe Category one can opt for Ashoka's Tiger Trail, Tiger Camp, Corbett Woods and in Standard category its Jungle paradise a very good option. Though Ashoka's Tiger Trail is located in Dhela Village quite near to Jhirna Safari portion of Corbett National Park.

With increase in number of tourist in Corbett Park, jeep safari has also become very difficult as numbers of permits for entrance is limited. Jeep safari usually last for 3 hours in Jim Corbett Park you have pay some where 2800 to 3200 INR for same. Jeep safari as good experience as you have to go with a guide who have good knowledge of Jim Corbett National Park and are locals of that area. some resorts in Corbett and hotels in corbett also provide guided nature walk in jungle that is again a very good experience. Some local sightseeing in Corbett Park are like Dhangari Museum Jhulapul Garjiya Temple Corbett Fall

Swad Ri Dhani Ajmer
BY:Mayank Mittal | Category:Travel | Submitted: 2010-10-02 10:51:19

It was a hot day - summer time, and we planned for Ajmer, though it looks as we are planning to go in an oven as Rajasthan is very hot in summers. Thanks our car is the new one and Ac is working very fine. Midway we stopped at Jaipur only for Lunch, very hungry and thirsty - food was tasty may because we are very hungry. then we started our journey for Ajmer.

I really appreciate the work done by government as the highways are very very good neat wide with proper markings. We reach Ajmer by evening, as we entered first the entrance gate huge like mammoth was beautiful. Then we further moved in a small cute boy welcome us with Dhol and naggada and some flowers. Then one guy escorted us till our room. Thanks they have already switched on the Ac's and room is quite big with paintings depicting real Rajasthan.

After evening snacks the real things were waiting to be happened. Someone from reception called us for the village fare at Swad Ri Dhani, our entry tickets are the part of package, though thats quite nominal just Rs 200 per person. This village fare is really very entertaining we enjoyed boating, tarot cards, kabuliyee dance, folk dance, bullock cart ride, horse ride, puppet show, magician and lot. Then we had our dinner again in typical Rajasthani style. Next day we went for Ajmer - Dargah sharif a escorted us and guided us all about Ajmer we had good time at Dargah Sharif then we moved to Pushkar, here again the guy told us all about Pushkar ji, though there was no water in sarover, some work was going on the guy gave very good information, we returned by evening again enjoyed all programs at resort. Next day before checking out we have gone through the entire resort they have very big hall for marriages also have big lawn for same. They also shown us some photographs how they did some big marriages in Swad Ri Dhani. I again want to thank my travel organizer Marina Holidays India Pvt Ltd who booked this resort for us. At last summer season is really very hot in Ajmer but the hospitality and service and the decor of resort is amazing i will surely revisit this place in winter

Trip to Corbett National Park With Tigers and Deers and Elephants
BY:Mayank Mittal | Category:Travel | Submitted: 2010-09-27 21:59:19

It was nice rainy day when we started from Delhi for Jim Corbett Park after crossing few kilometers say 70-80 we find better to switch off car air conditioner as the it is cold waves outside and temperature was low as mercury dropped due to rains. Being very well known to route for Jim Corbett as this was my 4 visit to Corbett Park this time I drove through Greenfield on way to enjoy real village and farms for a few kilometers we had our breakfast at Gajroulla as usual. Then we started for Corbett Park and reached their by Lunch.

This time I was pretty much excited about resort I booked in Jim Corbett as my travel agent convinced me for that resort (www.marinaholidaysindia.com) as soon as I reached their it was the best resort I ever stayed lunch was very tasty then after sometime they they took us for guided nature walk with a naturalist (a local guy from nearby village of Jim Corbett Park) as we started to described us the flora and faun of Jim Corbett National Park, just 50 meters ahead we saw spotted deer I managed to click even as we were moving in jungle a single noise may leaf due to air activates all senses then we crossed a dry river now this is the real jungle every where we heard some trumpet the guide advised us to keep quite 0 level absolute silent he also advised in case we see elephants don't panic also if they charge don't run as an elephant can easily catch us sometimes later we managed to see an elephant. We took some photographs and as advised by guide we silently moved back. On return they offer us lime water that made us even relaxed. afterwards we enjoyed snacks at resort and then they organized light music in the evening time followed by dinner we really enjoyed every second.

Next morning we started for open jeep safari to explore something we never expected in Corbett or I never seen in last 3 visits. On start every thing was as usual as I have experienced in my last visits but while returning towards entrance gate for exit we saw something beyond our imagination no guess off course it a TIGER with very big face long tale and very sharp long teeth. We got very excited but guide advised to keep quite as the King may not like this and walkaway. Though we cant take any photos as the KING did not liked our presence and moved away in long grass we tried a lot to catch in our camera but cant make it though the 60 seconds were like 6 hours and I can still remember every gesture of King. We returned resort had our b'fast and enjoyed recreation at resort after lunch we moved out for some local sightseeing of Corbett Park such as Dhangarhi Museum Jhulapul Garjiya Temple and Corbett Fall, all were beautiful because of rains the water is torrential and experience was amazing. We returned by evening, again resort treated us as king we had snacks and dinner. Next day we checked out with very very beautiful memories.
